About this piece

Step into a world of color, companionship, and craft with “Garden of Whimsy”—a handmade cushion cover inspired by the vibrant spirit of Romero Britto and the mystical charm of Laurel Burch. This 18×18 inch textile artwork is embroidered in Kashmir using traditional chain-stitch techniques, with shimmering viscose silk thread on a soft cotton backing.

🐾 Two stylized cats sit nestled among a riot of abstract leaves, sunbursts, and painterly patterns—each element stitched with care and imagination. The design celebrates joy, unity, and the emotional richness of everyday life, echoing Britto’s pop-art optimism and Burch’s soulful storytelling.
